The Wilbur de Paris band was, and still is, quite unique. Each musician belonged to the classic era and had been associated with the absolute greats: Jelly Roll Morton, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Jimmie Lunceford, Sidney Bechet and Cab Calloway for example. Their energy and vitality, combined with natural swing and embodiment of the whole classic jazz culture, shows through in absolute abundance.
